In the Venetian countryside
The authentic charm
of a contemporary house
who lives to the rhythm
of nature.
Text

With the architect Silvio Stefani, we launched the project to recover this strip of land bordered by water.
Respecting the landscape of this preserved countryside, the contemporary project is in dialogue with nature.

The construction consists of two rectangular volumes arranged at an angle. The main body rises on two levels and accommodates the living room, the dining room and the kitchen as well as the bedrooms with their adjoining bathrooms; it adjoins a single-level building including service rooms, laundry room and a guest living space.
All the ceilings, and some walls, are constructed from wood salvaged from the construction site; the kitchen and bathrooms have a concrete structure.
The house is wrapped in a 40 cm thick layer of hemp lime which regulates humidity and temperature.

An interior linked to the landscape, at the heart of the main volume, a large living space bathed in light extends over the entire height; spectacular bay windows ensure maximum transparency. Here the natural light marks the passing of the hours and punctuates the seasons.
Pivot doors provide direct communication between the interior and exterior.
Upstairs, for each of the rooms, the relationship with the landscape remains a central element.
When the weather is nice, life takes place in the garden. At night, the environment becomes more intimate; from the outside the house appears like a large magic lantern. Although contemporary, the building recreates the spirit of authenticity.

Living outside, equipped with vast land, the property has an orchard, henhouse and vegetable garden. At the edge of the swimming pool which fits into the surrounding countryside, relaxation is guaranteed.
